I worked at Gulf States Toyota full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary was great and freebies. Working with and talking to the hourly associates who really cared about there job and work quality.

    Cons

Two class of workers the have "management" and the have little or not "hourly workers". Hourly are way under paid for conditions they work in and hours. No constant set hours and management does a poor job of informing weekend schedule. Building managers get way too much freedom on being judge and jury over hourly and there supervisors. Facility not union but is ran worse than a union shop. Not enough diversity, 70% of manual labor done by Hispanics and the remaining by Blacks...whites make up less than 2% of manual labor but most of senior management. I saw a lot of federal violations while working here...race, sex, harassment company policy used was never consistent but based on if they wont you in or out.

    Advice to Management

Find a new HR manager and make sure all building Operations managers follow company and federal laws and or not given freedom to manage there building based on what they think or fell. Two employee's should not be treated different because of there race, sex or likability.
