    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    The actual work was simple.
The customer always appreciated whatever help your were able/allowed to give them.
Lots of retail food entities near main office.

    Cons

Weak senior manager who plays favorites. His favorites can't do anything wrong, he will immediately dislike you if you question any of those people, and if any of those people dislike you, senior management will as well. Should any of the favorites question any of your abilities, get ready for an uphill battle.

IT & HR are located in Cleveland, so good luck getting anything done quickly. You are lucky if your issue is handled inside of one month.

Every department is an island that has declared war on all the other islands. It's amazing how they will stab each other in the back to get what they want.

Be prepared to clean the building. The janitorial staff was laid off, so each person has assigned cleaning areas, and that bathrooms are on rotations.

    Advice to Management

Stop allowing your personal relationships to influence your business acumen.

Look at the people you have chosen to run your departments- look at how they take advantage of their position, how they attack others, and how they handle customer interaction.

Hire a janitor/maintenance person. Coming to work in "business casual attire" and cleaning bathrooms and floors is not acceptable.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Great product line. Good support structure. Well thought out training. Training is ongoing

    Cons

Diminished desire for core products by the construction industry. Pella is creating competition by selling the same products to Lowes, Home Depot and Carter lumber, ABC supply.

    Advice to Management

Broaden product lines that salespeople can sell. Include better support for outside sales efforts. Too much time is spent behind a desk
