    Pros

Financial results great for 2009. Senior Leadership finally stabilized. Decent growth trends. Good Talent Acquisition in last 18 months.

    Cons

TOO LEAN in human capital and investment in the Supply Chain infrastructure; lack of people, diverse talent and innovation in plants, and raw material sourcing. No investment for the future to support sales. No plan for raw materials; spot buying is unreliable and costly long-term.

    Advice to Management

The so-called turn-around will be short lived beginning to surface in 2010. No investment in knowledgeable people, capital equipment, and a strategy beyond Sales will lead to sub-optimal performance very shortly.

I worked at H.B. Fuller full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some interesting projects. Lots of change, global reach and decision based in Portugal. For portuguese standards the pay is quite good. Flexible time l, I could home office.

    Cons

Office politics, if you not part of the right click you will not progress or will even be targeted. Some of the management is a joke and the business is not at its best, hasn't been for several years. Q3 and Q4 end up being savings time. It's nearly comical that year after year that spending is frozen on the latter part of the year.

    People are generally OK.

I think the company would strike if the had a clew on the management salaries and specially the Finance team.

The high salaries also mean that there are lots of people who want to leave but can't find an equal pay in the rest of the market.

    Advice to Management

Management in Portugal often feel as the chosen ones, I believe some never imagined to have such influential job. You are not the last cookie on the jar. Most people that work with are also very capable.
Also Stop office politics and try to work twords the company needs, not your next promotion.
