      Pros

      Organization has a good mission at heart but with such poor leadership the mission is impossible.

      Cons

      Absent leadership, different rules and expectations for different people, poor financial management, utter disorganization, they say they want young innovative people but when those types come along they are given no support to accomplish goals management has set. Board members dont fundraise so its all put on staff. Overall I would not recommend getting involved with this organization.

      Pros

      HAI was an organization with a GREAT mission. It was a great place to work. Great colleagues and bosses. Unfortunately, like so many great non-profits, it too suffered from founder syndrome. In the end, its demise was brought on by an incompetent board. A sad ending to what was once an outstanding company.

      Cons

      Low salaries (as is usually the case in such organizations) and the tragic circumstances of its ending.
