Commission pay structure needs to be revised and made attainable.

    Pros

    Decent money, used to be great place to work! Top performer for years, had a so so year. They get rid of you? Really....

    Cons

    Too many unproductive conference calls, Management is poor some areas. Too much time in front of your computer instead of customers. Good LUCK!

    Advice to Management

    Shouldn't have gone public.

    I worked at HD Supply full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    It was good to have a 400 page catalog to sell out of and have access to many different product lines. The kicker was having product in stock.

    Cons

    Territories were not defined so salesmen were all going after the same customers. Also, management would not commit to having proper inventory level. We were always running out of things. They need to grow some balls

    Advice to Management

    Compensate your sales people for their efforts. The commission structure is embarrassing, especially when the inside sales staff is paid more than outside salesmen.
