Pros

There is a great team work within each site and the supervisors are supportive in balancing work and personal life. Immediate supervisors encourage you to seek promotions and build a career. I loved the team and clients I worked with.

Cons

Central office is detached no longer caring nor aware of what the employees or the clients they serve need. Very little communication, they just think you should assume that there wont be any raises and that even though the central office is closed for inclement weather the same rules dont apply to other sites. Very nasty top management

Advice to Management

My advise to take a hard look at yourselves, and your leadership abilities. Not communicating, not bridging the gap due to the different job locations as far as team work and communications. Broken promises of coming more onsite and having the town meetings.

I have been working at HELP USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You are making a difference in the lives of others.
I have great coworkers (the other case managers). Everybody else sucks.

    Cons

    - The pay is average for case managers, no room for raises regardless of tenure or work ethic.
    - Management is overbearing and likes to threaten the staff with employment termination.
    - Management is disrespectful and condescending in how they speak to their staff.
    - This is all a numbers game. The management and the company don't care about actually helping homeless people. They just want to say they have helped "X" amount of people and moved them out of shelter, so they can keep getting their grant funding.

    Advice to Management

    - Start appreciating and treating your staff with respect.
    - Be professional and stop with the personal nonsense.
    - Stop the nepotism. Stop hiring unqualified people just because they're your sister's, daughter's cousin.
    - Stop being money pinchers, and reward your staff for their great work ethic and their loyalty/tenure with the company.

I worked at HELP USA full-time

    Pros

I wish I could think of some pros

    Cons

Director steals donations, housing director takes money under the table and the safety director sleeps with the staff. Case managers are over worked. This place is circus

    Advice to Management

Stop covering the backsides of the black men who are sleeping with staff and residents and focus on getting the residents out into permanent housing
