Pros

I enjoy working for HG Comms. All managers and colleagues are very supportive and make this a great place to work. If you ask, opportunities to grow and learn are given and you are supported. I have a good work/life balance.

Cons

Not much to complain about. Communication between departments could sometimes be improved.

Pros

Excellent equipment, training and support. Continual review and development of people and processes. Lessons are learned as the company grows. Internal opportunities for development and promotion. Excellent relationships at all levels, including with clients and suppliers. Safety and ensuring personnel are trained before taking on their roles are taken very seriously. Everyone approachable and friendly. A 'let's do this together' attitude. The company is not about any one person, but everyone working together to support each other and achieving our goals. Teamwork is a focus at all levels. The engineers excel at this, along with a growing team of excellent office based staff that focus on everyone and not self-interest. Looking to expand opportunities within telecoms. Resulting in extra skillsets and job variety. Recruitment has developed, with lessons learned, resulting in appropriate skillsets and knowledge in the right roles and continual improvement for existing staff. Flexible and hybrid working options are currently being developed and considered to ensure a suitable work/life balance in these evolving times.

Cons

Recruitment has been flawed on occasion. However, should be seen in the context of a company that started in 2019 and has grown and developed well since that time. Lessons have been learned and this has developed into a more measured response to upcoming changes and requirements. Current staff and recruitment has excelled recently and is a sure sign of growth and maturity. Office is practical, but somewhat remote. Make sure to bring your lunch!

Pros

I'll be fair and say that they introduced hybrid working but even that was tainted by how much the MD micromanages

Cons

There are so many cons. As the title implies, the MD is completely deluded and seems to believe he is not the problem when in fact he is very much the problem. He feeds a toxic culture, micromanages people and bullies people out as previous reviews have stated. I saw the bad reviews before I started and put it down to disgruntled employees but working there, I can confirm it is worse. The positive reviews are clearly written by the MD and his family and a couple of his old guards that are also deluded. They have a massive staff turnover and still think the issues are with everyone else and not the way they treat staff. The rudeness is on another level and the MD will happily humiliate you in front of your peers. No regard for mental health here, they will give you a goody bag with a mug saying they care but they really couldn't give a toss and it shows.
