I have been working at HMEA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The agency has a really strong commitment to the people it supports.
    Great benefits and perks.
    Very understanding of work/life balance.

    Cons

the government sets the rates and therefore forces HMEA (and other human service providers) to pay direct staff less than they deserve.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at HMEA as a contractor

    Pros

Those running the company are nice.

    Cons

I got hired here thinking they'd train me in ABA. I didn't even know what ABA was during the time. Never even heard of it except I had a general psychology degree so I applied anyway. After getting hired, I had zero training whatsoever in ABA. They tried sending me to a family's house but needed insurance to go through first. That's when I realized people are getting ripped off.

    Advice to Management

    Train your employees.
