    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I worked at HR Associates (Canada) as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Great job potentials with very credible companies
    - Most assignments offer full-time and great learning opportunities

    Cons

    - No benefits
    - Terrible about get backing to employee and finding more job potentials
    - Horrible management and customer service, called and left emails and got no response in months so I gave up.
    - Takes a massive cut of pay check, most agencies find placements on behalf of the company or take a slight portion HR rips people off big time. Job I was filing paid between 21-24 an hour I made 14 with no paid lunch (actual job pays for lunch).
    - Avoid them as there are so many better agencies that are more than happy assist and pick up calls. I got amazing reviews from my placement and when it finished I asked for help finding another placement no response. Any response I got was someone will get back to you but no one did not even the manager. Even though my references now come from that placement because I impressed them. I would never recommend this agency nor will I use them again. They are rude and uncaring, when my father passed away I asked for time off and was denied and told to go back to work ( he died of cancer after a long struggle) I was in shock of how I was treated. Fine temporary staff don't have true Canadian Labour rights but at least a hope you are ok or if you need to take a few days off for the funeral would have been nice.
    - Compensation, management, and values deserve minus stars unfortunately I'm not able to give them

    Advice to Management

I really give bad reviews because I hate hurting feelings to people that provided me a pay check but seriously review your staffing in Toronto or please get new staff. Worst experience of my life dealing with "professionals" Clearly the HR does not stand for Human Resources. Shame!

    Pros

    - Great for starting out in the job market
    - Opportunity to gain exposure to a number of different roles within the company

    Cons

    - Compensation
    - Investment in employees. No formal training, courses, conferences, team development

    Advice to Management

Invest in employees minds and pockets. It'll pay off in the long run.
