I worked at HSBC Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

- Talented coworkers led to good cross training opportunities
 - Lots of resources available to assist in completing projects
 - Good management structure

Cons

There were not really many cons of working here. Sometimes the size of the company gave a feeling of inefficiency but once you adjust to the fact that things might move a bit slower because of this it wasn't a problem.

I have been working at HSBC Holdings full-time

    Pros

Large company benefits ( 401K , Retirement contribution, Medical coverage....)
Accepts workers on visa ( H1 , Green card application done by company )
    Work-life balance

    Cons

Employees on L1 given preference over local workers , since they are paid less.
In US the company is downsizing , shut off majority of branches , sold off the credit card business and transferred mortgage servicing to PHH. Two other mortgage portfolios are also up for sale. Make one wonder about long term career growth and stability.

I have been working at HSBC Holdings full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Meritocracy is being Rewarded,
    Good initiatives are welcomed
Open communication is propagated and practiced by all levels.

    Cons

Recent Downsizing left many good, performing employees job less
Change in Top leadership immediately changes company goals and focus thus confusing lower levels.
    Slow vertical growth..
