I worked at HSBC Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Great vacation days, perks for working moms, supportive management, friendly work environment. Many internal training programs and supports for higher education. Pay is on par with the market rate.

Cons

Changes take a long time and many levels of approval to take effect. HR department is under-staffed thus will delegate most of the recruiting responsibilities to line managers.

Advice to Management

Allow more avenues for process improvements.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at HSBC Holdings full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Work/Life balance
Need to learn about consistency in SDLC

    Cons

Targets for individuals change at least as often as the line management changes

    Advice to Management

Career planning at middle management levels need to be really re-looked at. Talent management is the pits here. There is no creativity in working for a captive unit as a resource manager.
