I worked at HSBC Holdings full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Flexible working hours, smart co-workers and good project planning. Expect to work hard and efficiently if you want to do well. You will also need to be able to communicate well and get along with colleauges.

Cons

They only work with technologies that they approve of so it can be a little bit behind the curve. Heavy management. Hard work may not always be given due credit/reward although it may be acknowledged in words. Inter personal relationships may matter more at times.

Advice to Management

Listen and interact more with workers. Recognize and reward hard work and effort.

I have been working at HSBC Holdings full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Comfortable job. People generally don't work on weekends which is not the case for many other private sector banks in India. Well laid out HR Policies.

    Cons

Versatility and dynamism are often not looked for in Support functions like HR, Communication and Corporate Sustainability et al. Many employees work in a team or function for years and make a comfortable bubble around themselves. They go on adding no new value or fresh perspective to the working environment. They often turn the environment not so conducive for innovation, value addition and new initiatives.
