I have been working at HSN full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benifits, good pay, flexible hours

    Cons

    Politics, terrible security, dishonest people

    Advice to Management

The best thing about HSN is the poeple unfortunatly its also the worst. The Executives expect all sorts of special treatment, to include being pushed down the hallways in wheel chairs by staff! Security is little better than jack booted thugs. Some are just too old to do any good at all. Some are uber right wingers who can spout what every political opinion they want as loud as they like. If you get fired from HSN the security will follow you not even allowing you to return to your desk. If you ask to get photos or anything they just tell you they will call the police. Most of these guys are retired cops trying to relive the glory days on the NYPD. The biggest problem is there is no supervisor over the security employees. Now HSN security is hiring recent vets who still think they are in a war. No one knows whats going on in the Loss Prevention Department and the people who do know can't move up. They need to sweep it clean and start fresh. I got so feed up I couldnt take it any more and just quit.

    Pros

Where else can you work at the intersection of commerce, retail, media, tv? solid leadership, passionate and dedicated workers.

    Cons

both the retail industry and media business are changing at a rapid pace, which means people need to be really flexible and creative.

    Advice to Management

keep it up, and keep pushing.
