I have been working at Habitat for Humanity full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great organization to work for. Since we built multiple houses a year there were always lots of different events going on. No two days were the same. Liked that it is a Christian based organization. Small staff, more like a family.

Cons

Pay wasn't great, but that is typical among non-profits.

Advice to Management

Better pay for non-director employees

Some customers are rude and sometimes staff flutuates to fewer than 5 at times.

    Advice to Management

Listen to what some of your managers' suggestions who have over 20 yrs in retail at big box stores have to say. Have cash assistance volunteers orientation more intense before sending to stores.
