Pros

Excellent safety training and great technologies. there are some great employees there.

Cons

Promotion poor , if you are not graduate straight out of college forget Halliburton if you wish to get promoted. You need to join the management click to progress.

Advice to Management

Look to your more experienced employees for leadership and do not pigeon hole them into same position. Otherwise you will never progress, they will just keep having to clean the managment trainees messes after they left and destroyed the department

    I worked at Halliburton full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Job security is better than other companies.
    Companies benefit plans like retirement & saving and stock investment plan are good.
    Good rotation for commuters.

    Cons

    The company is full of dumb people, who will never let you move up quickly.
    Salaries is not competitive but not so bad though against job security.
    Careers growth is limited, only if one is good with social networking.
    Company itself doesn't follow its employee growth plan, plan like metros are only in theories.

    Advice to Management

    If you making 12-15% margin profit with so many dumb people, imagine how much you can make if you plan to retain talents.
