I worked at Halliburton full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Super nice co workers.. great benefits

    Cons

Poor management nothing ever planned out. Very high turn over rate company will run you into the ground. I was lied to on multiple occasions and was told were i was going to have to live. ever had proper equipment to do the job engineers fought over chemicals to do there jobs and if they had it first guy there took most of it to hold himself over till they order more again 2-3 months later.

    Advice to Management

Have a look at you management the ones that are suppose to be planning out the work are more worried about getting home or to the bar . Very high turn over rate

    Pros

There are tons of opportunites at Halliburton if you're fortunate enough to be on the right radars. Internal movement was often about who you know.

    Cons

Lack of flexibility with schedule. The bonus was completely at the CEO's whim, even though they tried to justify it with some formula which I don't think even a person with a degree from MIT could comprehend.

    Advice to Management

Make bonuses a percent of salary like everyone else. Pay better, be more flexibly and you'll have more retention - which will save you money in the long run.
