I worked at Hampton Inn part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Time off requests are almost always approved.Receive bonuses when sales goals are met.

Cons

Some days are really hard and they don't offer any benefits.The hours vary and during holidays you hardly get any..

    I worked at Hampton Inn full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The upper mgmt is stable, however one of the owners is also the mgmt company and I think the decisions are to personal.

    Cons

    This will be no surprise but as in any hotel the lesser employees work for minimum wage although they probably work the hardest.

    Advice to Management

    Hire quality people at a decent wage, and step back and let those quality people do what they do best.

    I worked at Hampton Inn part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Can form a bond with co-workers.
    Sweet deal on Hilton hotel stays.
    Sometimes, if a guest leaves something and doesn't want it, they let you have it. Lots of Beer. Random tips were also very nice.

    Cons

    the GM is NOT close and doesn't trust or share any info.
    Most of the workers are afraid to speak to her or ask anything. Not a professional way to run your business if you want exceptional workers that love their job.
    Also, they made it very clear that there is no room for moving up or benefits at this job.

    Advice to Management

    Trust your employees. Share information with them. Back them up. Work TOGETHER. SHOW that you appreciate them.
