    Pros

    Usually you have the freedom to pick a schedule you can work with. Pay is mostly based on the quantity of massages you give. A lot of job benefits are based on who own the location. So if they have a healthy appreciation for the Spa world you’ll be fine. But if they don’t run.

    Cons

    Pay isn’t so great unless you sell many upgrades (based on your location you know who you can sell towards) At the location I was based in we did not get paid if we did not have a massage. (some locations offer base pay) There was a time front desk people would steal tips. (When this was discovered those who had their tips stolen did not get compensated) Owners would speak to you in a derogatory manner. If you for any reason had to end a massage because of the client being inappropriate towards you. You are the one that has to kick them out. If you ever called in sick you would have put up with name calling. They would remove the one and only break you have to over book you. Booking problems were very common and no one would ever take accountability for them. Only benefit was complimentary massage or facial once a month. Owners would cancel it if they felt like. High turnover rate
