I worked at Harbor Freight Tools full-time

    Pros

The insurance is better than most.

    Cons

No respect for employees. Days and nights are supposed to be shared equally among management, but they burn you out on closes by yourself, yet they say they have the best schedule to accommodate family life. Not true unless your part time an you can choose when you want to work. Full time does not get that.

    Advice to Management

Have some respect for your employees and don't burn them out on closes.

Pay for associates low but trending upward.

    Advice to Management

Heavy investment into a reliable CCTV covering inside and outside of the D.C needed to take the guesswork out of incidents.

I have been working at Harbor Freight Tools part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Friendly co-workers and management. Reasonable, but not awesome pay. >90% of the customers are happy to be buying tools, and are friendly. We won't talk about the <10% or the 1%.

    Cons

Work schedule. Since Atlas/Kronos came on line, hours are unpredictable and change at a moment's notice, you have to check your hours every night before bed, even though a few days ago you weren't scheduled for tomorrow, you might just be now. This makes it hard to plan events around work.

    Advice to Management

Better scheduling, make employees know when they will work in a manner that less frequently messes up their off-work life.
