I have been working at Harris Teeter full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    1. Everyone is professional, I've never been treated unprofessionally.
    2. Variety of technical/software development needs gives good opportunity for professional development.

    Cons

    1. Salary and benefits -- I've been stuck with raises no more than 3% and pay freezes while health insurance costs escalate even though I get excellent reviews.
    2. Only 17 days of PDO per year with no holidays.
    3. Much pressure to meet unrealistic deadlines.

    Advice to Management

Your associates are second only to your customer as a valuable asset. Your IT staff have valuable business knowledge that you would do well to retain. You should pay your good IT staff well and make them want to stay with competitive pay and benefits.
