Pros

The people you meet are incredible. The opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship are outstanding. Everyone wants to help and is more than willing to meet and talk with you. And, best of all, it is a vibrant and fun work environment where everyone more or less loves the work they are doing.

Cons

The pay is not the best, but it is only a part-time job. Sometimes, you will have to work a ton in a given week and earn way more than you are paid whereas other weeks it may be slow and you may not work as much. Overall, it balances out though.

Advice to Management

A bit more recognition for a job well done. The status quo is hard work at HSA, but it helps when you are told that the work you are doing is appreciated.

    Pros

-Run a multi-milliondollar business with other teenagers and young adults
-Earn more than in any other job as a student
-Gain easy access to HSA alums, HBS professors, and other prominent business people
-Have an incredible summer and a blast throughout the year

    Cons

Because of the many different student-run agencies within HSA, the hierarchy of the company in general could be more transparent. Also, the most interesting parts of HSA (million-dollar deals, etc) are really only known by upper management and their select confidantes, while most managers are not privy to the coolest things about the company.

    Advice to Management

Make the company's hierarchy and inner workings more transparent. This would increase loyalty to the company and provide even better business experience to the students, which is the company's very mission.

    Pros

The organization boosts many connections to the Harvard business school and many other business in the United States. If one is serious about business and learning about the culture that is prevalent in such businesses, HSA is a great start to any undergraduate student.

    Cons

Joining the organization also means that one will sadly have barely any time for other activities. The work is very intense and a midterm is not an excuse for missing a deadline. Freshmen tend to leave the organization as it is sometimes "too intense". Students must also sacrifice their summer since the organization does not stop the core of its service during the summer break.
