Pros

Talented, intelligent people on the software engineering staff. Senior management in Tucson is good, but somewhat limited by what is allowed out of headquarters. Good product that seems to fare well in the market. Good atmosphere, good colleagues.

Cons

Benefits are ok for individuals and couples, but family health insurance is poor. Location on far east side is a tough commute.

Advice to Management

Fix health benefit problem, manage growth effectively, continue product expansion in the booming healthcare market.

    Pros

    Good work life balance. Deadlines are reasonable with little overtime required. Colleagues are great and there is a good team dynamic.

    Cons

    Salaries are lower than average for Tucson but this is mitigated by work life balance. Too much firefighting instead of planning.

    Pros

    HealthTrio has a lot of nice people in a small quiet office and you get free coffee. You may be lucky enough to get one of the many positions where you can slack off endlessly.

    Cons

    Hard work, low pay, very expensive insurance, micro-management, no salary increases.

    There is little to no recognition or ability for advancement.

    The high turnover rate is due to the lack of management interacion on workload and accountability.

    Advice to Management

    My best advice to this management is to change thier sighted approach to thier favorite employees and manage thier entire department equally. in addition the management should be more involved in the day to day activities of the individuals and provide coaching to those who need advice managing thier workload. The management is soft when it comes to disiplinary action. They need to take a stronger stand and repremand hibitual behavior.

    Steps need to be taken to make an attempt to retain good talent that happens to pass through HealthTrio so quickly. The company could be much more productive with some simple incentives and recognition. With a little more structure and some kind of employee performance management, this could be a much better company.
