Pros

Its a great company to work for if you work at HQ in Eden Prairie MN. They seemed to have a great culture there.

Cons

Help/Systems has purchased more than a half dozen smaller software companies over the last several years. Sadly, Help/Systems has decided to let almost every employee go from all of the companies that they decide to purchase.

Advice to Management

Be honest with the employees at the companies you are buying up. If you are going to lay off all of the employees, that is fine, but dont host a company meeting in which you say "nothing is going to change" and then a month later come back and let a large portion of the work force go.

    Pros

    For those interested in a fast paced, growing, and results rewarding company, HelpSystems is it! The company is the perfect size to have stability, yet be able to make a difference in the direction and success of the company.

    The employees are genuinely interested in helping each other. A mentality of going above and beyond for your peers is consistently noticeable.

    The compensation is above average and positive results are recognized and rewarded.

    Leadership is extremely transparent with the successes and shortcomings. Anonymous feedback is encouraged with no topic off limits.

    The company is growing both organically and through acquisition. Things tend to move fast where employees need to be adaptive to change. This growth also provides opportunities for advancement.

    Cons

    We are asked to take on a lot with less resources; a product of on boarding and integrating several acquisitions a year. Stressful at times.

    Most employees have their own offices (normally a plus) but as a fast growing tech company, the office layout can make the company feel stale and lacking energy.

    Advice to Management

    Consider "modernizing" the office space further.
