Disapproves of CEO

Pros

Insurance, "company car" free gas

Cons

Low pay, long hours, usually you have no time to use your company car and gas for pleasure

Advice to Management

Corporate needs to be more in touch with the Managers and operations at the Local Branches. There is a huge disconnect

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    -Discount on rentals
-Ability to clean my vehicle after hours
-Chance to goof off in some brand new cars
-A few decent people work here
-My store was closed on Sunday
-Some good experience dealing with people

    Cons

-Constant micromanagement and pressure to sell useless extras
-Upper management's idea of motivation is to get rid of commission, increase the price of the optional coverage and raise the raise the minimum sales goals
-Upper management is ridiculously out of touch with counter sales; all they do is drive around in Tahoes and Cadillacs going to lunch with their buddies
-Minimum 45 hours a week, which isn't bad until they make you work 6 days a week and make you come in late a few days
-You are REQUIRED to wash cars in a shirt and tie
-They cut hours all the time so you almost never have drivers available to pick anyone up. I worked in a store by myself 95% of the time
-A lot of awkward situations with customers who cannot pass a credit check or who do not have enough money, you get a lot of sob stories about why you should help them out

I honestly hated every second of this job, it is a poor work environment and everyone is in constant fear of being fired. There is NO motivation to do anything other than to simply not be terminated.

    Advice to Management

Work in the stores a few days a month so you know what it is like having to deal with customers face to face with your insane policies
