I have been working at Hertz full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Flexible schedule. Good pay for the work. I get to drive lots of cars. Very good benefits.

Cons

Upper management issues. Policies change without notifying the customers. Sometimes I don't get the support necessary to solve problems.

Advice to Management

Get back to the counter once in awhile; you're out of touch.

I worked at Hertz full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

you get to drive different cars around, some of them quite nice.

    Cons

terrible training program. low pay with bonuses based on arbitrary goal set by upper level management who have no clue about current situations. cant' find any policy's written down anywhere. forced to clean and wash cars in dress clothes. manager trainees put in branches to run on their own without any extra training and without any increase in pay.

    Advice to Management

take a look at some of the shady things the employees are forced to do to make sales numbers in an economy where people are watching every dollar they spend. spend some more time in a branch to re-connect to current conditions. Don't let manager trainee's work branches by themselves if you aren't going to recognize their contributions to the company.

I have been working at Hertz full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Bonuses are performance based and are very generous; at Branch Manager level, a free car, free gas, and free insurance are provided. Lots of opportunities for advancement.

    Cons

There is too much inefficiency; too many conference calls, too many emails, too much time wasted bringing cars in when needed.

    Advice to Management

Overall a good company to work for, eliminate some of the inefficiencies and it will be a great company to work for.
