I worked at Hertz full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Company car, freedom to just drive off site if you need a breather

Cons

Long hours (minimum 9 hours per shift), no sick days, definitely no recognition for a job well done

Advice to Management

Be realistic with your expectations of managers and take into account the happiness of all staff

I have been working at Hertz full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get out of it, what you put into it. There is a lot of opportunity with Hertz. Starting as a Manager Trainee I learned the in's and out's of a Hertz Local Edition location. I was quickly promoted and eventually became an Airport Location Manager. Compensation is mediocre, but there is a great bonus structure and all managers get a free car and gas!!

    Cons

often the job requires long hours, and little time away. Especially at an airport location, peak season can call for 12+ hour days.

    Advice to Management

Change is great, and many things in the operation need to be changed. However, don't forget about the smaller locations when implementing change across the board. Not all airport locations can successfully implement things the same way many of the large airports can.

    Cons

The hours can be long but the fast paced envirornment helps it fly by. Starting pay which is motivation to get promoted.
