    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Employees are great people to work with. They are smart, generous, and want to do a great job. They are the company's greatest asset.

    Cons

Company has lost its edge and lost its way. Under Carly Fiorina, there was too much emphasis on image and not enough on the substance behind it. Under Mark Hurd, the goal was to cut as much as possible. Meg Whitman may have come on the scene when it is too late to be able to save the behemoth.

    Advice to Management

Good luck. Ignore quarter-to-quarter market changes. Develop the company for the long term by investing in the people. Maybe you'll get back the awesome culture the past few CEOs have shredded.
