Pros

Flexibility, work hours or work from home, etc.
Culture of excellence
Young and passionate people
Limitless career opportunities across multiplle segments

Cons

Comparatively low salary and slow promotions and pay raises, if any
Revolving door management, yet they leave with big severance pays while company stocks go down along with employee morale

Advice to Management

Take care of good employees

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Some of the core values instilled by both Mr. Hewlett and Mr. Packard are still being upheld, which was based on caring for the employees and creating world class products.

    Cons

Some of the legacy that was passed from Mr. Hewlett and Mr. Packard have gone lost, partly due to various (and many) types of leadership, company growth and the company performance. The products continue to lean on HP's highly regarded reputation. The leadership is rocky at times, and the employee benefits are in/sub par with industry standards and no longer world class. Though there is still a lot of talent at HP, much of their talent is lost to competitors offering more technical challenges, better pay and better benefits.

    Disapproves of CEO

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

flexibility, Work from home, remote teams, good set up. Some of the old timers are good.

    Cons

No clue on application development. Poor managers. Too frequent executive changes. It has some of the worst Directors you can see in IT development. They are completely clueless on software development.

    Advice to Management

The company needs to be re-built from scratch. All good people are leaving or have left.
