Pros

1) Flexible work environment, options to work from home whenever required
2) Enhanced technical training's
3) Relaxed and controlled projects, No working under pressure.

Cons

1) Micromanagement
2) Direct managers have no control to take decisions.
3) no shift allowances/very less compared to other companies

Advice to Management

Give some authorities to managers to take decisions, instead waiting for you to communicate.

    I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    1. Comfortable timings.
    2. Brand value.
    3. Exposure to various IT segments (However depends upon role). I have spend 8 years in HP Globalsoft & served several roles from System Enginner to Team LEad to Tech Lead to Delivery Manager to Transition Manager to Account MAnager to Solution Architect to SME.....hence I will say if you work, your work will speak for you & you will learn a lot.

    Cons

    1. Weak recruitment process due to heavy requirement, due to that hiring is fast but waste as I have seen in last 8 years atleast in service delivery, development & C&I units that quality of resources are not technically good enough. They dont have confidence & dont even try to other opportunities due to that. Collateral damage is to clients, growth of employe...
    2. No motivation for employee .
    3. Several new processes are invented every week but due to weak leadership, it does not implement very well.
    4. Very less onsite opportunities.
    5. Managers talk about your development & processes, challenges but they hardly talk once in six months about your performace & goals.... just one discussion at the end of year (fomal type) without any vision.

    Advice to Management

    avoid hiring cheap resource but quality,.
