I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

opportunities to work with colleague from different culture.
opportunities to understand how a typical MNC works, e.g. its culture and its way of working

    Cons

it is simply too big an organization. there are many problems, but it takes time to resolve. if those problems cannot be solved, it might be inevitable that the giant will fall down one day

I worked for a unit in Singapore. in my experience, the company also does not really pay attention to employee's long term career goal. of course, it is the employee himself who is responsible for his own development. but the company really don't bother about its employee's goal at all.

    Advice to Management

    none.

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Offers a lot of Opportunity for growth and training. Sees the company to recover within the next coming years.. Training and capability for technical posts are given.

    Cons

    - The board picked Apotheker, which most employees think is highly questionable.
    - Most employees were not rewarded accordingly last Fiscal year.
    - Management , most of the time, offers band-aid solution to long term problems. Initiates processes which is purely irrelevant to employees.

    Advice to Management

Please see Cons above and try to work on that. Try to know the root cause of the problems in hand and please never provide your employees with short sighted solutions to long term issues.
