broad portfolio, great heritage, great people. I honestly believe in the long-term success of HP - anyway it needs to adapt quicker to current market trends

Cons

Manchmal langsam und nicht flexibel, bürokratisch. Produktsortiment nicht mehr führend. Wichtige Markttrends wurden verpasst (Mobiltelefon, Cloud etc.)

Sometimes slow and not flexible, burocratic. Portolio not leading edge anymore. Missed important market trends (mobile, cloud etc)

    Die Auswahlkriterien für die Beförderung von Managern in höhere Positionen sollte man sich wirklich ansehen. Oft werden inkompetente Soziopathen sogar noch weiter befördert. Man denkt unwillkürlich an das Peter-Prinzip. Wenn HP beginnen würde, Assessment-Center für die Einstellung und Beförderung von Managern zu verwenden, würde sich HP wirklich verbessern. Solange die ständigen Redundanzen weitergehen, wird sich nichts ändern, wenn man nicht einen Teil des Managements redundant macht!

    The selction criteria for promoting managers to higher levels really needs looking at. More often, incompetent sociopaths are being promoted to even higher levels. The peter principle comes to mind. If HP started using assessment centres for manager hiring and promotion HP would really start to improve. With the continuing redundancies occuring things will not change if you dont make some of the management redundant!
