Pros

HP is one of the best companies to work for if you can appreciate professional development. Although the current business environment is challenging, HP remains a place for top quality people.

Cons

The business environment for the IT and printing industry is challenging. Like all IT companies, the road ahead is uncertain as tablets and mobile devices surge in popularity.

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great team work, plenty of opportunities for advancement, lots of diversity.

    Cons

With acquisitions (Compaq, EDS, etc.), HP struggled to integrate cultures. That led to more divisiveness, in an already-siloed company.

    Advice to Management

Revert back to culture of Bill and Dave days. Colleagiality, teamwork, flat management layers, opportunity for advancement, integration with local communities.
