    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large portfolio of solutions to sell
    Great name/brand recognition within IT
Many HPer's love the stable benefits HP offers to their employees

    Cons

HP first and foremost is a hardware company - their software DNA is not wired for making customers wildly successful nor cultivating an aggressive sales and marketing organization. HP is driven by process - customers, sales and revenue results are secondary

    Advice to Management

You have invested billions into building an enterprise software organization. Spend millions to aggressive recruit the right senior executives that can cultivate a sense of urgency, care about their customers, care about their employees, and care about building the best software organization on the planet.
