I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

co-workers were friendly, professional. location was convenient. excellent work space was provided.

Cons

poor management choices--unclear direction of team(s)

Advice to Management

Leadership isn't a one time per week meeting to cover status of projects. True leadership inspires and makes a difference. None of the high level managers seemed to have that skill. Often combined with poor communication skills.

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

HP has a lot of good people and a strong history. Being a large company, there are many positions and divisions to grow your career.

    Cons

In recent years HP has become more conservative when investing in growth and innovation. This tendency has caused HP lose it's leadership edge.

    Advice to Management

Articulate a clear vision of the future and how the company will achieve it. When it comes to innovation, take more calculated risks to lead once again.
