Pros

The people I worked with were great. I enjoyed my job but the deadlines imposed were not conducive to work life balance. There is opportunity for job growth if you want to spend more time at work and less time with your family.

Cons

As I mentioned above, project deadlines were set without understanding the scope of the project or the number or resources available. You ultimately ended up cramming for quite some tome to meet the various deadlines and milestones.

Employees do not seem to be valued. If you did a great job you entire career at HP they will get rid of you in a heartbeat without seeing if you could fit in within another department or group.

The Voice of the Workplace survey is a joke. It's seems like it's simply done to satisfy some requirement and not to use the information to make HP a better place to work at.

Most employees took a pay cut and we never got it back while upper management received large bonuses.

Advice to Management

Value your people. Treat them with respect and you in return will receive respect.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Pro #1: A lot of opportunity to gain visibility into how job functions different than your own work and what it takes to succeed in those functions.
Pro #2: Ability to work remotely, away from traditional office cubicle

    Cons

Con #1: Morale. Employees are worked into the ground, with no reward. Morale is so low that it is nearly impossible for anyone wanting to get work done, to get it done.
Con #2: Pay... This is obviously linked to the low morale.
Con #3: Instability. Constant reorganizations, realignment, company-wide initiatives, etc. Employees live in fear of job loss.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to initiate team-building activities, promote those that do good work, get rid of those that do not, reward employees.

    Pros

The car plan is a great perk. The auto gas card, paid auto insurance, and paid maintanance is another nice to have.

    Cons

customer sat is very low priority, no incentive to develop good practices and standards for future growth.

    Advice to Management

Lack of Leadership direction, account coverage by 7 or more folks from the same company is not a good strategy drive qtrly sales.
