    Recommends
    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Solid company with a great history and market presence. Most employees are very talented, skilled and proud of HP. Great teamwork, surprizingly little politics for such a large corporation. Management is accessible, part of the team. The last few years of EDS merger and economic struggle caused significant strife, but a new CEO and healing economic market has improved the working environment noticeably.

    Cons

Large company that is easy to get overwhelmed by. Change initiatives are frequent, often causing reorganization and job description changes.

    Advice to Management

You are on the right track. Continue to rebuild and foster the pride and value of your employees. Keep repairing the damage to salary and benefits that were imposed over the last several years. It is a very profitable company and that is due to the diligence and talent of its employess, so share the rewards of that success.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Flexible hours, Great Colleagues (Intelligent, thoughtful, hardworking), good projects.

    Cons

Employees (Pay and Benefits) are viewed as a cost to upper management, rather than viewing employees as an asset.

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees as an asset.
