I have been working at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hilton name is one of the best brands in the hospitality industry. Supervisors and trainers are very nice and helpful.

    Cons

Cold calling on past guests leads to many credibility issues due to consumers believing anyone that calls out of the blue is a scam. There should be policies in place that allow vacation advisors to follow up with potential customers who can call them back to ensure they are really dealing with Hilton. Your production is directly linked to the phone calls you receive and if you are not able to talk to guests production goes down but you are still expected to reach quotas that do not fluctuate of are increased unrealistically. This leads to heavy turn over of employees.

    Advice to Management

It costs less to retain employees than hiring new employees over and over again. When 75% of employees aren't reaching sales goals there should be an analysis of times of year that are typically slow and allowances made for computer problems that cause less phone time. Also first year employees should not have the same production goals as employees that have been there for years. The way people are written up should be modified to give the employee a chance to succeed not set them up for failure.
