I have been working at Hilton full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Great co-workers. Good pay. Great benefits. While the morale in the Dallas offices is not the greatest due to the fact that no one has been promoted in that office without moving to the Virginia HQ, most of the people at Hilton are genuinely nice people who are always willing and able to pitch in to help. While there are cons (as there are with any job), I would still recommend Hilton as a great place to work.

Cons

No opportunity for advancement unless you move to the HQ in Virginia. They will work you to the bone. And there is WAY too much red tape for anyone to be effective in their role. The offices are a little bleak, but nice.

I have been working at Hilton full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Easy to climb the ladder in a few short years with little expierience. Big brand name for your resume. Over 500 locations worldwide you could apply at.

    Cons

High turnover makes it difficult to build a team at any level, even managment. Little control over products standards and menus in the restaurant.

    Advice to Management

This company is great at recognizing employees and promoting from within. It is not good at keeping those people long after they are promoted. Exceptional people will work for peanuts for a short time, then they will move on leaving you worse off. Create incentives for people to stay, Especially those who have been promoted rather than hired in at their level.
