I worked at Hilton full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

culture, focus on taking care of team members, community service, benefits (parental leave), lots of time off. Lots of room for creativity and development of new programs....no red tape of long approval processes. Innovative, constantly growing. GOOD at the core! Amazing CEO!

    Cons

Lean teams mean everyone is stretched thin and stressed, pay rate, promotion system limiting how many people can be promoted to a certain level at once makes it very difficult to be promoted. Most people are working at the level above their title and pay.

    I worked at Hilton full-time

    Pros

The culture was second to none. Very down to earth, giving, and supportive. Amazing time off benefits and hotel discounts. Fairly flexible hours and if you finish your work early you can leave early.

    Cons

I was laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hilton, and travel more generally, is exposed to some macroeconomic trends and is not as stable as some other roles.
