I worked at Hilton full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Learning experience
    Opportunity to pick up shifts

    Cons

Was payed incorrectly the whole time I worked there for both jobs
Managers are lazy and will avoid work as much as they can
    Disorganized and unprofessional
Horrible training staff and bad training execution
Management lies about how to fix problems
Lazy co-workers because they lead by example from the GM and F&B Manager
They will walk all over you if you let them
    Many customer complaints
    Tarneshes your passion for Hospitality

    Advice to Management

Try paying attention to how to run the hotel correctly
Try not to lie about things you say you'll do
    Pay your employees correctly
    Train your employees correctly
    Work on professionalism
Don't laugh at employees when they are doing something wrong, show them how to do it the right way instead of laughing and telling them after that it was wrong-- work HARDER on being professional
Try being a manager and fixing problems instead of going on a week vacation once a month
Make sure the schedule you put out is right
Listen to your customers and try to listen to your employees
    Think about finding another career.
If you want to be a professor at a college for Hospitality, you should actually be good at your job and you shouldn't treat your employees who are in the hospitality program at that particular college like garbage. Even if they're only a student they know the head of the hospitality department and will make sure your name is known and that you are not a hospitality professional, maybe you should be the student again instead.
