I worked at Hollister Co. part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great working with other young people (aged 17-21 mostly), made many new friends

Cons

Lots of rules about what to wear and how you have to look. They claim you don't need to buy their clothes, but you basically do because of all of the requirements. Minimum wage, so that's that... A decent first job but move on fast!

I worked at Hollister Co. part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

When I started working there I thought it was a really great place, great atmosphere, and great people. And it was for a long time. Its a really straight forward job, not hard. A lot of people you work with are around the same age and can usually relate with you very well.

    Cons

Management has a huge effect on workplace environment in hollister. And at a place like hollister managers don't usually stick around for a long time. If you get stuck with a bad manager they can easily turn work environment to a terrible one. I guess you could say that with any job, but usually the store manager at hollister has so many people breathing down his/her neck about how neatly the clothes are folded or when the floor update is that they can easily forget about you. Oh yea, while im at the "forget about you" part. It can be very easy for a manager to forget about you if you dont get in the loop because at most Hollister's there are 30-40 people per the two positions jockeying for hours.

    Advice to Management

    Positive attitude creates positive environment.
