I worked at Hollywood Casino full-time

Pros

Exciting working atmosphere, not afraid to put money into their properties

Cons

Low pay, bad internal communication, poor management.

Advice to Management

A successful company is built on successful employees. A happy worker will work diligently and with a positive attitude. Penn National Gaming bought out Harrahs St. Louis and ignored many of the business and customer relation tactics that allowed Harrahs to be a leader in the St. Louis market. Any transition will bring some growing pains, but this one was brutal. The company was quick to emphasize their wonderful core values for their employees and guests, but are struggling to live up to their promises.

I worked at Hollywood Casino full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

everybody is friendly and tries to help you if you're new. i worked there for about two years and not only were my coworkers great, the customers were cool too.

    Cons

Sometimes, the customers can be grouchy due to impending or existing losses. we just tried to keep a smile on our faces and cheer them up.

    Advice to Management

stop brown nosing. and work with your coworkers. sometimes, if we are treated with respect and not as just another number, then we can provide great customer services and allow the workday to fly by.
