Pros
I would say that Honest has FAANG quality Product and Engineering teams. As a PM, you are able to focus on solving customer problems and see the impact of your work very quickly. Data quality is great so we are able to make well informed decisions and measure results effectively. The culture here encourages teams to work on the most customer impacting work at any given point in time, so you won't experience unreasonable pressure being put on teams to stick to deadlines when priorities need to shift. I find that people here really care about the quality of work they put out, so it's a great environment to learn from others as well. The office is gorgeous, is in a great location right in the middle of Bangkok. There's plenty of places to eat nearby and the safety of the neighborhood isn't a concern. Very easy commute as the skytrain is attached to the building.
Cons
It's a small start up and you will definitely be pushed outside your comfort zone on a daily basis. You'll have to be comfortable with wearing a lot of hats when the situation requires it. As a Fintech startup, we both need to move fast to be competitive, but never compromise on customer security or regulations. Incidents can occur at any moment and you'll have to work odd hours as a team to resolve them. That being said, I think overcoming these challenges have been rewarding upon reflection. Lastly, the role is in Bangkok, so if you like jumping around roles every 3-4 years, opportunities at top-tier companies in Bangkok are very limited.
