I have been working at Honeywell full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Exposure to your field of choice.
Training and seminars are always free.
Travel opportunities are plentiful.

Cons

Career advancement paths are convoluted.
Pay is average at best.
Health benefits are very bad.
401k contributions are below average.
Continuing education reimbursement is virtually non-existent.

Advice to Management

At the very least, change the health insurance for better. Co-pays are just too high. It is better to find insurance elsewhere for those needing regularly scheduled appointments requiring anything other than a doctor's visit.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Honeywell full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Four huge businesses - Automation Control, Transportation, Specialty Chemicals, and Aerospace.
    Good technology, particularly Aerospace products.

    Cons

Aerospace is moving workforce and locations out of N. America, very clear direction & directives.
Creation of numerous functions with multiple VPs in each function generating isolated processes have removed focus from customer to functional area. This continues to impact our customers, decision making, and morale. Fewer and fewer employees care any longer due to all the top down decisions, constantly reduced benefits, and higher process expectation without any additional people to support.

    Advice to Management

Strength of any business is the employees. Most agile organizations have decisions made at the lowest level of the organization. Eliminate ineffective products (sell them) and build a product line organization with rewards to product lines that make their products better (more profit, more sales, higher customer satisfaction).

I worked at Honeywell full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Use of software tools. procedures for obtaining sales,

    Cons

Poor management of personnel. Constant reorganization and leadership changes. Need for CEO change

    Advice to Management

Add progressive managers and respect employee capabilities. Look at what happened to Gillette who apears to be a nonperformer. Apparently, Honeywell does not know how to hire executives.
