I worked at Honeywell full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good people. Working inside in the summer in Phoenix. Vacation time better than average.

    Cons

My career began with AiResearch (Garrett) in the late 70's and I ended up retiring as a Honeywell employee. Over the 30 plus years, we saw change mostly negative, in benefits and working conditions. Fact is, it's pretty much the same all over in major corporations. A lack of unions, foreign outsourcing, and too much emphasis on short term results/shareholders does not make for an environment conducive to happy employees, regardless of what the pundits on the business channels say. This fact should say it all to anyone who thinks about it: In 2013 as average Honeywell employees were getting raises (if they were lucky) between 2 and 3 percent, the CEO was paid nearly $39 million.

    Advice to Management

None. Nothing can be done in the short term. This is the natural evolution of short sighted, unregulated capatilism.
