I have been working at Honeywell full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

I have enjoyed many of the relationships with my co-workers. They are also very flexible in terms of telecommuting.

Cons

- It has been a 13 year pay cut. While salaries have gone up slowly, nearly all extra benefits and employee functions are gone.
- The company claims to value their people, but the HR processes show otherwise.
- Work is often repetitive.
- Initiative and invention is discouraged.
- Engineers are taken for granted because, for the most part, they just won't leave.

Advice to Management

Honeywell should focus more on employee satisfaction. If employees are satisfied and feel valued, they will perform better. Engineers are not processes that can be reduced to a minimum and still be effective.

    Pros

Good 401k matching. That's about it.

    Cons

All other benefits have been eroded over time. Bureaucratic institution that doesn't care about its employees. Look at CEO compensation during years of layoffs and salary reductions, and it will tell you all you need to know.

    Advice to Management

Low level manager have no power. Upper management should re-evaluate basic principles of a successful company, rather than be all-consumed with the stock price.
