I have been working at Honeywell full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Fairly stable job security since 2005, at least in Aerospace engineering. $7,500 toward education assistance annually.

Cons

Honeywell policy shifts over the past ten years have continually eliminated the valuable benefits from working full time at a corporation. Medical coverage cost me $14,500 last year. 401K matching was reduced to 50%. Tea/coffee was eliminated because "it cost the company $60K per year". Can no longer use the mail room to mail personal packages domestically. Ridiculous scrutiny of purchases--I had to purchase my own $45 head set for teleconferences.

Advice to Management

When assessing benefits/practices/methods/processes at all sites in order to standardize "one Honeywell", do not choose the lowest common denominator and make it the norm. Show employees you care about them by actually putting there interests first, not just giving lip service. The value of the corporation is not measured on Wall Street, much of it is intangible and cannot be measured by your cost cutting metrics.

I worked at Honeywell full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

none other than good stock value

    Cons

Poor pay, benefits, lack of training, and Upper management/HR are running good people from this company. Stop freezing salaries.

    Advice to Management

revisit your pay scales for jobs against other companies and their locations. reduce cost of benefits. These changes probably result in new CEO and Management leadership. Give pay raises when you are making profit.

I worked at Honeywell full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Big name in the marketplace - everyone knows Honeywell. It's a stable company, has a variety of businesses to find your niche, and they offer decent benefits.

    Cons

Even though there are females in senior leadership, the culture at Honeywell is very much a "boy's club".

    Advice to Management

See and treat employees as people, not headcount.
