Pros

Manageable workloads with variety of tasks and learning opportunities. Better scheduling than typical high tech environment. Generally enough resources to support projects, and time to do a good job. Good pay, excellent benefits, flexible leave and work hours.

Cons

Like other larger companies, cumbersome bureaucracy and rigid policies can interfere with completing tasks or obtaining resources. Heavyweight processes like Six Sigma can be overkill or inappropriate for small projects that don't need such elaborate testing or measurement. Lack of coordination between departments may delay projects.

Advice to Management

Use of project advocates to push progress amongst diverse departments. Rigid procurement systems may cost more than local purchasing while taking far more time.

    Pros

    Broad, variety of businesses
    Learning opportunities
    Competitive salary and benefits
    Very knowledgeable employees
    Scale
    Global footprint and ambitions

    Cons

Process overkill, seems like congressional committees with all these councils, offices
Sometimes does not play big sales competitions with heart and true passion to win (see above)
    Career pathing is inconsistent
Relax! Why do we need to be so stuck up? Do we really have a buzzing innovative culture?
Everybody wants to program manage everybody else!

    Advice to Management

Love the cash generation, love the flat organizations, but please inspire and lead us with passion befitting a technology company...not just manage us

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Unique opportunities in the space field

    Cons

    Favoritism in the extreem!
Management will no way listen to it's people (It's almost gospel)
    Advancement is nil.
    Pay raises are non-existant!
Dooing a job well done just means that you will get more work with no recognition!
"Work hard, get ahead" - NOT a Honeywell policy

    Advice to Management

How about paying people for good work?
Stop the "I have to mark you bad for one thing on your review because it's corporate policy" garbage.
ISO 9000 is for munufacturing plants. Not a varied work enviroment!
Once again...pay raises every once in a while?
