Pros

-Rebecca, Joel, and Ivan are wonderful people. They were wonderful to work for and I miss getting to interact with them. -You get sales experience and have the potential to easily pull in $15/hr. I was making $17-$19/hr each week. -They're good about providing incentives, and take care of you as an employee. Work parties, kitchen, sales bonuses (gift cards, $1 extra per week, etc.) -Paid time off for major holidays, healthcare options, etc.

Cons

Ignoring the high stress reality of what you're doing - taking one call after another for 8 hours a day (there are no breaks between calls) - what you're doing as an employee is unethical. Using deceptive techniques to lure callers into calling by posting job ads that are just postings pulled from Indeed, your actual job as a "career adviser" is to shame people into talking to someone about going to college. But not just any college - for profit college. For profit universities take advantage of underprivileged, under-educated individuals. Break down of what your caller goes through: 1. Googles "HEB jobs" 2. Clicks one of our sponsored links at the top of the page 3. Link has them fill out age, DOB, hometown, education level, name, and email address 4. They are prompted to call us for more information about job postings 5. They call us, we ask a couple minutes of info about what kind of job they want, and then ask if they've thought about the benefits of college 6. Yes? Great. The rest of the call is telling them about the education adviser you're going to transfer them to. 7. If you transfer them, you get paid. If you don't, you stay at your baseline.
