Pros

• The most meaningful work I have ever done, and the most meaningful mission-driven company I've found in LA • Safety is a core part of how the company makes decisions and has been the highest value all four years that I've been here. Every team in the company, from operations to technology to sales, treats safety as its top priority. A large number of employees even actively use the service. • CEO, founders, and senior leadership are high-character leaders who care deeply about their customers, the drivers on the platform, and the kids who use the service • As a woman of color in a field (engineering) that has few women, let alone people of color, I have felt fully supported from day 1. As someone heavily involved in recruiting at the company, I've observed teams actively ensure that diversity and inclusion are part of the hiring process and team culture. • Transparent communication throughout the company about progress, goals, and challenges • Culture of appreciation and support, where accomplishments are recognized consistently at every level of the company • Beautiful, modern office with restaurants nearby • Opportunity to grow by solving challenging business problems as well as access to resources to attend conferences and networking events • Hard working group of people in every team throughout the company • A lot of promotion from within throughout the company • Managers genuinely care about the people on their team

Cons

• Not an easy job -- some of the challenges here are ones no one has solved before • If you're looking for somewhere to keep to yourself and punch in/punch out, probably not a good fit -- it's important to work with a lot of different teams

Pros

the team makes you feel very comfortable, its not micromanaged, easy training, healthy manager- employee relationship

Cons

may not see the employee as a person, but more of a data set to be compared to others even at different levels of knowledge

Pros

Fully remote, a lot of flexibility when needed. The mission is genuine and is having a positive impact on communities

Cons

No 401k matching, no bonuses. Leadership tried to come off as transparent, but their actions and words do not line up. Leadership and management will say there is growth opportunities to develop the careers of employees, but there is very limited true opportunities. Unless you are running the right elbows, you risk being stuck. Flash carries more weight than substance, leaving employees feeling undervalued. Even when you have PTO, you are sometimes expected to still have to work.
